Hematopathology Fellowship

The Department of Pathology at the University of 麻豆传媒高清 School of Medicine offers an one year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical 麻豆传媒高清 (ACGME)-accredited fellowship program in Hematopathology. This program is designed to provide training in all aspects of hematopathology including evaluation of bone marrow, peripheral blood, lymph node, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, molecular genetics, hemoglobinopathy and coagulation. Hematopathology fellows gain experience in a broad spectrum of adult and pediatric hematopathology service at the University of 麻豆传媒高清 Hospital (UCH) and the Children’s Hospital 麻豆传媒高清 (CHCO) on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Our program is to train independent hematopathologists to acquire state of the art diagnostic skills and clinical research knowledge. The fellow is expected to participate actively in the integrative aspects of clinical hematopathology to gain competency, proficiency and diagnostic excellence in the practice of hematopathology. The fellow will have in-depth learning opportunities through hands-on training in gating and analyzing raw flow cytometry immunophenotyping data, and interpretation of advanced ancillary studies including comprehensive next-generation sequencing in myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms. The fellow is encouraged to participate in research activities during the year. Elective time will be available to complete research projects or additional hematopathology sub-specialty rotations. The fellow will also participate in a wide range of regularly scheduled multidisciplinary clinical conferences at both UCH and CHCO institutions.
