The Cell-Based Disease Modeling Unit employs state-of-the-art cell culture assays and high content imaging platforms to uncover novel mechanisms and therapeutic approaches for fibrotic diseases. 

These assays include the use of:

1. Fibroblasts from multiple organ systems
2. Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
3. Tunable hydrogel matrices with varying tensile strengths (in development)
