Our department offers competitive Residency and Fellowship programs, as well as training for medical students. In addition, we also provide continuing education opportunities through conferences, events, grand rounds, and an annual symposium.
The Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center offers opportunities for medical students, including ophthalmology electives, research opportunities, and visiting rotations.
Student Rotations
CU Medical Students
Medical students currently enrolled at the University of 麻豆传媒高清 School of Medicine may sign up for an elective Ophthalmology rotation by registering for OPHT 8000 Ophthalmology. Electives are also available for OPHT 8002 Pediatric Ophthalmology and OPHT 8003 Neuro-ophthalmology.
Visiting Medical Students
The visiting medical student program offers cohorts of students the opportunity to complete a one-month ophthalmology away rotation through the University of 麻豆传媒高清 School of Medicine. Each year, the department welcomes about a dozen medical students to experience what it might be like to be a Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center resident. During the rotation, students spend two weeks at , one week at , and one week at working alongside faculty and residents to develop a foundation of fundamentals that will help them transition into a residency program. Over the course of the four weeks, medical students are introduced to various ophthalmology subspecialties with the goal of deepening their interests and opening their eyes to future possibilities in the field.
Medical students at accredited U.S. medical schools interested in an Ophthalmology elective in our department should become familiar with the and apply through . Rotation availability is limited.
