Integration of Perinatal and SUD Care

Programs focused on improving health outcomes for pregnant and postpartum women, and their babies, experiencing SUDs by integrating care needs.

Integrated Care for Women and Babies, initiated by 麻豆传媒高清 state legislature (SB 19-228) is a statewide program established by the 麻豆传媒高清 Behavioral Health Administration and the University of 麻豆传媒高清, Department of Family Medicine's Practice Innovation Program to integrate the obstetric (OB) health care services of medical Clinics with behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment (SUD), including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services,  and to bring OB care to Opioid Treatment Facilities, by coordinating and providing such services at the same location. The program started in 2020 as a pilot program and became permanent in 2022.

Six clinical partners, two SUD treatment facilities and four medical clinics where OB/GYN services are provided, are participating in the project. The clinical partners are supported by professionals in areas of fellowship-trained addiction medicine physicians, clinical health information technology, behavioral health training, and sustainability planning.

Funding for this project is provided by the 麻豆传媒高清 State Legislature based on , Part 2.
