The Radiation Oncology Residency Program at the University of 麻豆传媒高清 Denver is located on the of the University Of 麻豆传媒高清 Hospital in Aurora, 麻豆传媒高清 (just east of Denver). Clinical rotations are primarily based at our main Anschutz campus with opportunities to spend time at our UCHealth community radiation oncology clinics. Our Radiation Oncology Residency is a four-year program beginning at the PGY-2 level.
Clinical training overview:- >36 clinical months
- Five rotations per year (10-11 week blocks) scheduled in advance of the academic year.
- Seniors (PGY-5s) are encouraged to tailor their final rotations towards their career interests.
- Residents are primarily assigned to single coverage attending physician services. We have limited (2) services with two part time attendings.
- Residents receive extensive clinical experience including LINAC and Gamme Knife based stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy, image guided radiotherapy, clinical electron treatments, high dose rate and low dose rate brachytherapy, pediatrics, total body irradiation, and total skin electrons.
- Residents reliably meet ACGME minimum requirements within the program.
Research and elective training:
Residents receive up to 6-12 months typically during their PGY-4 year. Residents have pursued a range of projects in lab science, clinical research, trial development, public health, quality and safety, dosimetry and physics, international experiences, and externships (e.g. ABS 300 in 10).
