Ongoing research is a vital component of Denver Health's Rocky Mountain Regional Level I Trauma Center and the University of 麻豆传媒高清 Hospital's Level I Trauma Center and allows these hospitals to provide the most advanced and highest quality trauma care to patients.  Denver Health and University of 麻豆传媒高清 Hospital trauma surgeons collaborate to continually research predictors of multiple organ failure in critically injured trauma patients and subsequent outcomes.

Members of the University of 麻豆传媒高清/Denver Health Medical Center Surgical Critical Care and Trauma team are involved in numerous research studies including those involving blood substitutes, the use of bicycle helmets, emergency response times, alcohol use, health care disparities, and more. This research helps our hospitals achieve some of the best patient outcomes in 麻豆传媒高清. Close cooperation between the Paramedic Division, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology and Surgery Departments ensures successful research collaboration.

Surgeons on the trauma team are internationally published. Collectively, they publish more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts per year. Ernest E. “Gene” Moore, M.D., was recognized by The Journal of Trauma Injury, Infection, and Critical Care as being the world’s most cited author.
