The
National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants
(NCCAA) provides the certification process for anesthesiologist
assistants in the United States.
The certification process involves initial certification by successfully completing the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants, registration of continuing medical education credits, and successfully completing an Examination for Continued Demonstration of Qualifications when you are due.
Because employment as an anesthesiologist assistant in almost every locale is contingent upon certification, it is the expectation of the Program that each student will plan for, apply for, and take the Certifying Examination in his/her year of graduation.
Participation in professional organizations are strongly encouraged while you are a student at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå.
In support of Anesthesiologist Assistant profession, and the Program’s desire to promote professional responsibility, all students and faculty are strongly encouraged to be members of the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA). Students are also encouraged to seek opportunities for professional growth and attend the AAAA annual conference and meetings held at local, state, and national levels. The American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA) is the principal national professional organization for anesthesiologist assistants.
