Anschutz Medical Campus is the home of the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Master of Science in Anesthesiology Program. Our primary clinical sites for the program are located on Campus - the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital and Children’s Hospital Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå.

University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital

Founded in 1889, University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital is part of the UCHealth system and is the flagship teaching hospital of the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå School of Medicine.  It is currently a 600 bed, level-1 trauma center making it the largest, and leading health center in the Rocky Mountain Region. Recently, the U.S News & World Report ranked the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital #1 in Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, and nationally ranks the hospital in 11 specialties.

Students enrolled in the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Master of Science in Anesthesiology Program will do a substantial amount of their clinical training at University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital rotating through all the major adult specialties: Cardiothoracic, Vascular, OB, Neuro, Trauma, Electrophysiology, Transplant, Acute Pain, Orthopedics, and General Surgery.

Children’s Hospital Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå

Founded in 1908, Children’s Hospital Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå is a 400+ bed, level-1 trauma, pediatric hospital that performs over 23,000 surgery per year in 24 different surgical specialties. Since the hospital’s inception, it has grown into one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals. Recently, U.S. News & World Report named Children's Hospital Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå to its Best Children's Hospitals Honor Roll, placing Children's Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå among the top 10 children's hospitals in the nation.

Senior students enrolled in the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Master of Science in Anesthesia Program will spend one to two months at Children’s Hospital Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå rotating through all the pediatric anesthesia specialties while being trained by a faculty consisting of more than 50 board certified pediatric anesthesiologists.
