The University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (KU ADRC) has created a mobile application, available on Android and iOS devices, to help dementia caregivers manage challenging behaviors. The application walks the user through potential contributing factors, and provides tips to cope, for each behavior. The application also allows the user to learn about research opportunities at the KU ADRC.

In Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, there are several support groups, along with a 24/7 hotline, available for caregivers.  

A Caring Hand and Heart is a service which connects its clients with personalized resources and caregiving support.  The foundation of this service is building a personal relationship with each client to fulfil their full needs.

Benefits in Action is a Nonprofit organization based out of Lakewood, Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå.  This organization is dedicated to connecting our diverse community with the support and resources they need.

The Getting There Guide is an organization which provides transportation maps and plans to help their clients get to the locations they need.

The Area Agency on Aging provides a comprehensive resource list and services to address the needs of the region's older adults and people living with disabilities.  This agency serves Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson and Gilpin counties.

DispatchHealth is an organization which provides in-home urgent treatment for a wide variety of non-life-threatening medical conditions.  DispatchHealth is available to all that live in and around the Denver area.

The University of California, Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center offers a Caregiver Bootcamp Class for dementia caregivers. The sessions cover information such as Alzheimer’s and related dementia basics, behavioral strategies, advance care planning, caregiver well-being, and other topics. Presentation slides from previous sessions are available for download on their website.

This website is a free online directory of support programs for family and friends of caregivers for individuals living with dementia.  This website was created as a partnership between Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging and Family Caregiver Alliance.

The University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center has launched a website with brain health activity guides for people with cognitive impairment and caregivers. The website includes instructions for research-backed activities such as videos and tip sheets and provides links to additional resources.

The University of Washington Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center offers an Indigenous aging resources section of its website, which contains resources to promote the participation of Native Americans and Alaska Natives in Alzheimer’s clinical trials. 

The NIH funds and conducts research on caregiving and provides the most updated information backed by the latest studies and evidence from experts.
