About Our Program

JFK Partners has been a program of the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå School of Medicine since 1965. As a program of the Section of Developmental Pediatrics, JFK Partners is designated as Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå's University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and Leadership Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program.

 


Our mission is to lead the way in evidence-based interdisciplinary clinical care, education, research, and community partnerships
to enrich the lives of children, youth, and adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and special health care needs.

Our vision is to promote individuality, inclusion, active community engagement, and health and well-being
of all people of diverse backgrounds with 
Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and their families.

    Save the Date! Seeking Opportunities for an Advocacy Revolution Conference

    This event brings together self-advocates with disabilities from around the Midwest to exchange ideas and learn from each other about advocacy. The conference will be held in Omaha, Nebraska October 3-5, 2025 and is open to Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming advocates.

    S8 Early Start Denver Model (ESDM): An Early Intervention Approach for Young Children With Autism

    Terry Hall, MC, CCC-SLP will discuss the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a comprehensive early intervention treatment approach for children ages 12 – 60 months. It has evolved from the original Denver model at the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Health Sciences Center in Denver, Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, to ESDM under the thoughtful eye of Dr. Sally Rogers and colleagues currently at the MIND institute at the University of California, Davis.
