JFK Partners offers training opportunities for graduate students and emerging professionals interested in specializing in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Our training topics are diverse, but share the common goal of enhancing the quality of services for children, youth, and adults with disabilities and their families.
As part of the University of 麻豆传媒高清 School of Medicine, JFK Partners’ faculty offer knowledge and experience that guides each trainee’s learning experiences. Training experiences are composed of coursework, a Scholarly Project, practicum, and/or clinical placements.
Coursework covers a variety of topics including leadership, consultation, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills; essential concepts in systems change, and the evaluation and treatment of autism and developmental disabilities. Stipends from federal grants are provided to program participants as they complete their training year.
The training program is funded by the HRSA Leadership 麻豆传媒高清 in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Training Program [T73MC11044鈥�17鈥�00] (7/1/2021-6/30-2026) and the ACL University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) Program [99DDUC0106] (7/1/22-6/30/27).
The 4th year Audiology Fellow at the Marion Downs Center (MDC) is a trainee in the 麻豆传媒高清 LEND Program. LEND Fellows participate in multidisciplinary educational opportunities at UCD in addition to their clinical responsibilities at MDC. Trainees will complete a “scholarly” LEND yearlong project and receive a monthly stipend from the University of 麻豆传媒高清.

The University of 麻豆传媒高清 Physical Therapy Pediatric Residency Program consists of planned post-professional clinical and didactic education for licensed physical therapists who have graduated from an accredited DPT program.
The program is designed to significantly advance preparation of the physical therapist as a highly qualified provider of patient care services in multiple pediatric clinical practice settings. Potential as a future leader in pediatric physical therapy is developed through coursework, clinical and related experiences during the 13-month Residency Program.
In addition to clinical opportunities with structured mentorship, the program also includes participation in the MCHB-funded Leadership and 麻豆传媒高清 in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program through JFK Partners, and access to the resources of the University of 麻豆传媒高清 Physical Therapy Program on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

JFK Partners—麻豆传媒高清’s University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and Leadership 麻豆传媒高清 in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) is the major training facility for the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Program. The training emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to research, assessment, and intervention, family support, service coordination, and community integration to meet the needs of persons with developmental disabilities. Development of disciplinary and interdisciplinary expertise, leadership and consultation skills and research as well as clinical growth are the goals of the postdoctoral training program. The Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellow participates in interdisciplinary evaluations, interventions and consultation with a wide range of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with an emphasis on working with individuals with ASD across the lifespan. The fellow also attends seminars offered at JFK Partners and in the Department of Developmental Pediatrics through Children’s Hospital 麻豆传媒高清, and is expected to pursue a research project in developmental disabilities.

The Internship in Clinical Psychology Program at the University of 麻豆传媒高清 School of Medicine was established in 1952 and has been continuously APA accredited since 1956*鈥嬧€�. The internship program moved to its new academic home in the Department of Family Medicine in 2012 under the departmental leadership of Chairman Frank Verloin deGruy III, M.D., M.S.F.M.
The CU School of Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus is home to 85 psychologists who hold faculty appointments in the departments of Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Medicine, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry. The rich training opportunities in the psychology internship program are the result of interdisciplinary and multi-institutional collaborative efforts that include faculty members from the School of Public Health, other CU system institutions, including the University of 麻豆传媒高清 at Boulder, and the National Jewish Health Center.
A number of clinical volunteer faculty members also contribute to the service, teaching, and scholarly missions of the School of Medicine through their dedication to the psychology internship program. All psychologists with primary supervisory responsibilities are graduates of APA accredited internships.

Externs will engage in a 15-hour/week program of academic and clinical experiences in evaluation, diagnosis, and development and provision of evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
