Director of Finance and Administration (CU Anschutz Medical Campus)
The Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) is the senior administrative and financial leader for the Department of Otolaryngology. Reporting directly to the Department Chair, with a dotted line to the School of Medicine’s Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Finance, the DFA provides strategic and operational leadership across all business and administrative functions, ensuring the alignment of financial, clinical, educational, and research activities with departmental and institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Oversee all departmental financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, fund management, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of funding sources (state appropriations, grants, endowments, clinical revenues).
- Provide fiscal oversight for strategic planning, faculty and staff recruitment, compensation, and investment decisions.
- Regularly advise the Chair and department leaders on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Clinical Operations & Revenue Cycle
- Partner with CU Medicine and clinical leadership to optimize billing, collections, and revenue cycle performance.
- Develop provider productivity dashboards and recommend improvements in clinical operations to enhance efficiency and revenue.
- Lead business planning and evaluation for clinical expansions, new practice sites, and joint ventures.
Administrative & Human Resources Management
- Lead and manage administrative staff; oversee recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
- Coordinate faculty appointment processes, promotions, tenure reviews, and grievance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in personnel management.
Facilities & Resource Management
- Oversee space planning, renovations, equipment procurement, and facilities operations.
- Participate in long-range planning for departmental growth and resource allocation.
Program Development & External Relations
- Identify and pursue new funding sources, grant opportunities, and partnerships.
- Support department fundraising initiatives and public relations efforts.
- Represent the department on School of Medicine committees and external stakeholder groups
Open Rank Assistant Professor - Neurotology MD (UCHealth Highlands Ranch Campus)
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå School of Medicine’s mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified neurotologist to join the full-time faculty. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Clinical service in the field of Neurotology, with the primary location for this position being the UCHealth Highlands Ranch campus, with additional practice within affiliated hospitals/clinics including the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Open Rank Assistant Professor - Facial Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery MD (CU Anschutz Medical Campus)
The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a board-eligible or board-qualified otolaryngologist with subspecialty training in Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery (FPRS) to join the full-time faculty. Particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience/interest in facial nerve reanimation, transgender surgery, cosmetic procedures, and/or clinical research. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Clinical service in the field of FPRS, with the primary location for this position being the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital at Anschutz Medical Campus as well as surrounding network of care sites.
- Development of a clinical program in an area of growth at the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, specifically in facial nerve reanimation, transgender surgery, cosmetic procedures, and/or clinical research.

Open Rank Professor - Pediatric Otolaryngologist - MD (Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Springs)
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time pediatric otolaryngologist for its pediatric practice at Children's Hospital Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, located in Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Springs, Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå. This position will also be responsible for leadership and coordination of the cleft lip and palate program as the Cleft Medical Director for Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Springs. This position will work directly with the cleft team leadership at the Metro Denver Children’s Hospital of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical/OR service in the field of Pediatric Otolaryngology, with the primary location for this position being Children’s Hospital Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå/Briargate Outpatient Facility in Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Springs.
- Lead the cleft lip and palate team in Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Springs, fostering collaboration among various specialists including surgeons, speech therapists, psychologists, and nutritionists. They will also partner with the Cleft Lip/Palate team at the Metro Denver campus, headed by Pediatric Otolaryngologist Christopher Discolo, MD.

Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Instructor (multiple positions available)
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery is seeking energetic individuals for full-time Advanced Practice Provider positions for its adult practice. We are seeking multiple open positions at this time, in a variety of subspecialties and practice locations as our department continues to grow! The qualified candidates will be appointed to the rank of Instructor within the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
We are seeking one position to be located at the Cherry Creek Medical Center. The provider will practice independently in an outpatient setting, in a shared suite with several subspecialty Otolaryngology MDs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- The advanced practice provider will be expected to support all facets of the outpatient clinical service to include the following: manage new and return patient visits, provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care, and coordination of care with providers within and outside the University setting. This will take place in concert with RN and MA staff already in place.
- The candidate will be trained to perform office-based procedures such as nasal endoscopy, flexible laryngoscopy, minor biopsies and cerumen removal.
We are seeking positions within our head & neck cancer practice to be located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. As an active member of the head & neck surgery team, the candidate will work under the supervision of experienced head & neck surgeons in the outpatient and/or inpatient setting supporting a large academic tertiary referral practice focusing on the management of complex head and neck cancer patients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- The advanced practice provider will be expected to support all facets of the outpatient clinical service to include the following: manage new and return patient visits, provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care, and coordination of care with providers within and outside the University setting. This will take place in concert with RN and MA staff already in place.
- The candidate will be trained to perform office-based procedures such as fiberoptic laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, management of feeding tubes, management of tracheostomy tubes, and office-based procedures such as simple biopsies.
- The advanced practice provider will be expected to support all facets of the inpatient clinical service to include the following: daily rounds, patient orders, inpatient progress notes, obtaining consultations and coordinating inpatient care.
We are seeking additional positions in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings at the Anschutz Medical Campus and surrounding network of care sites. Positions may be within subspecialty practice such as Otology, Rhinology, Facial Plastics, Sleep, or General Otolaryngology. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- For inpatient positions, the advanced practice provider will work under the supervision of the adult faculty otolaryngologists to provide primarily inpatient care, with the potential for occasional outpatient follow-up care. The advanced practice provider will be expected to support all facets of the inpatient clinical service, to include the following:
- Admission of patients during weekday hours.
- Daily rounding on patients with the Chief Resident and resident team and assistance with clinical documentation.
- Discharge planning for patients on service, including care coordination of home health and supplies (such as tracheostomy supplies and care, tube feedings, wound care).
- Consultations, both inpatient and from the emergency department, during weekday hours. Performed bedside procedures, such as endoscopy and biopsy, as appropriate.
- Perform patient and family education as well as obtaining surgical consents, as appropriate.
- Direct communication with nursing, respiratory therapy, social work, consulting services, and other care management teams as well as PCPs is expected.
- For outpatient positions, the advanced practice provider will work under the supervision of the faculty otolaryngologist. The position will be expected to support all facets of the outpatient clinical service to include the following: manage new and return patient visits, provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care, and coordination of care with providers within and outside the University setting. This will take place in concert with RN and MA staff already in place.
