Speech Perception Over Time (SPOT) Study
Our study investigates how infants’ ability to differentiate between speech sounds develops and how this ability affects other measures of auditory development. The study visits can take place in your home, at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, a nearby CHCO location, or 麻豆传媒高清 School for the Deaf and the Blind. Study visits occur at 1-5 timepoints between 3 and 12 months of age.
To Take Part in this Research Study
Your infant must:
Be between 1 and 12 months of age
Be diagnosed with permanent bilateral hearing loss
Have a primary home language English or Spanish
To Help Facilitate Participation
Our study team:
Will compensate you for your time (Rate: $100/visit)
Will pay for parking at our campus
Can arrange childcare if siblings are present during study visits
Can arrange transportation assistance to assist with travel to/from the study site
