The Silver Society is the University of 麻豆传媒高清 chapter of the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). The purpose of the Silver Society is to serve as an associated organization for the students at The University of 麻豆传媒高清 Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program to build leadership, to foster professional development, to encourage diversity, student life, and community service, and to promote the PA profession in the community and throughout the campus. The Silver Society hosts and participates in community service activities, campus events, and student social events each year. Silver Society has delegates for both the AAPA and the 麻豆传媒高清 Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA). These delegates participate in board meetings and continuing medical education conferences. Membership in the Silver Society provides more opportunities to learn more about the PA profession and to begin to uphold the values that PAs strive to encompass into daily practice.
Mission: The DEIA Committee was created with CHA/PA students, faculty, and staff to promote progressive changes within the program and have a higher standard of promoting diversity and accountability for racial injustice and the unequal treatment of minority groups.
POCUS is a student-led organization focused on providing students with additional hands-on experience utilizing ultrasound through mentorship and hands-on guidance with UC Health Faculty members. POCUS students can also prepare to compete at the annual SPOCUS competition during the national AAPA conference while simultaneously advocating for POCUS accessibility amongst other advanced level providers.
CHAPAletes is a medical trivia competition team that brings together first and second-year CHA/PA students to practice and compete. The CHAPAletes team attends two medical challenge bowl competitions each year at the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and 麻豆传媒高清 Academy of Physician Assistant (CAPA) annual conferences.
