Students

We have administered a full-time Office of Medical Student Affairs since 1995. This office coordinates all medical student activities for the Department of Medicine and provides career counseling. The Division sponsors a medical student Internal Medicine Interest Group.

House Staff

We have 30 primary care house staff in our program (10 per year). Our primary care house staff training program is closely integrated with the Department of Medicine's categorical training program. A Division member is Associate Director of the Department of Medicine's Categorical House Staff Training Program. We have developed a unique educational program for our primary care house staff that incorporates many areas not traditionally taught in most medical educational programs. We also have a Primary Care Fellowship Program and additional opportunities for house staff to pursue either a MPH or a PhD degree should they so desire.

Faculty

Our faculty from all sites meets at a weekly educational conference and many attend bi-weekly research conferences. We have a successful, well-developed faculty Development Fellowship Program.
