The Emergency Care LIC is an immersion and longitudinal experience during the Foothills year at the University of Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå School of Medicine. The focus is to showcase the specialty of Emergency Medicine and your approach to patients with emergent or urgent complaints. You will be expected to complete 10 shifts in the emergency department.
Our vision is to expose you to the emergency department environment to allow you to better understand the challenges for patients and providers to provide outstanding clinical care to those who need acute medical care.
Our mission is to provide a dynamic, integrated curriculum of clinical care experiences, educational sessions, and supporting educational materials to enable you to successfully complete the requirements for the Emergency Care LIC and to assess if a career in emergency medicine is right for you.
