The University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå School of Medicine Internship in Clinical Psychology Program is accredited by the Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation American Psychological Association and participates in the APPIC Internship Matching Program.  Applicants must complete the APPIC on-line . ​This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.

Applications for consideration must consist of the following in order to be reviewed. 

  1. A completed on-line APPI
  2. Cover Letter (part of on-line APPI) designating your major rotation preference with number (see listing below)
  3. Curriculum Vitae (part of on-line APPI)
  4. Three letters of recommendation, two of which must be from persons who have directly supervised your clinical work. 

JFK applicants must include one complete psychological testing report.  Please delete all identifying information from the report. (uploaded to the APPI as supplemental materials)

All interns must pass a background investigation as a condition of employment with CU SOM and abide by all vaccination policies.

In addition, we abide by Children’s Hospital policy related to drug screening for JFK Interns. Interns must complete a 10-panel drug screen (i.e., Barbiturates, Cocaine, MDA, Methaqualone, Propoxyphene, Amphetamines, Benzodiazepines, Methadone, Opiates, Marijuana). The company that completes the drug screen is responsible for documenting if the drug screen is a pass or fail. A non-employee’s refusal to consent to a drug screening will result in the immediate discontinuation of the assignment. Non-employees who test positive for drugs that are illegal under any federal, state or local law are subject to termination of the assignment and are not eligible to perform work at Children’s Hospital Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå for a 12-month period following a positive drug screening.

Vaccination Requirements: Per , COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required for faculty, staff, students, badged affiliates, persons of interest (POIs), visitors, or volunteers in non-clinical settings, as of July 1, 2023, with some important exceptions.

  • Those working in CU Anschutz-operated clinical facilities that treat patients or involve human study subjects must follow UCHealth University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå Hospital COVID-19 vaccine requirements and protocols.
  • Those working in Children’s Hospital Âé¶¹´«Ã½¸ßÇå, other affiliate hospital facilities or other off-site locations must follow the vaccine requirements and protocols of those facilities.
  • Students involved in clinical rotations must comply with the vaccine requirements and protocols of those sites.
  • Individual CU Anschutz departments, schools or units may continue to require vaccination against COVID-19.

Staying up to date on vaccinations and boosters is strongly encouraged. In addition, interns are subject to potential additional vaccine requirements at minor rotation sites. 

Didactics: Internship-wide didactics are in-person.

Intern Status: Interns are regarded as “essential employees” and follow all clinical service delivery and safety precautions mandated through the Department of Family Medicine and in keeping with
